The weather is perfect for taking a walk.
Mr. Garden and I enjoy a stroll every evening.
Hallmark 1978
These little doll cards like to walk too, and are part of my paperdoll collection.
Greetings, Inc 1950 (I think. I need a magnifying glass.)
They don't have a wardrobe of clothes to change into,
but they do have feet that move.
Sometimes attached with a grommet and
other times with a tab behind the skirt,
these little foot-wheels will roll along a carpet
and make the doll look like it's taking a walk.

I have more. I hope to get ALL of them scanned
and up on my paperdoll page soon.
(My paperdoll page is at the top of the page, under my blog header.
It needs to be organized better... One of these days.)
Such sweet cards!! I love all the faces, so adorable!! The first little girl with the basket of flowers is my favorite! Thanks for sharing!! Have a great night!! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet faces. Your collection is very special. I enjoyed looking at it a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteThese are so sweet.....
ReplyDeleteI do declare missy, this post is just TOO cute. I love vintage cards. My husband and I met in a Hallmark pharmacy and later owned it, so I have very sentimental thoughts when I see Hallmark goodies.
ReplyDeleteLove,Linda
What sweet little paper dolls, they look great framed like this on your blog, do you display the in your home?
ReplyDeleteAdorable cards. I think I was given a walking doll card as a young child (either in the last 70's or early 80's).
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing you lovely collection :)

These are so cute! We love taking walks in the evenings too, especially this time of year, before it gets too hot.

ReplyDeleteHow sweet. I do remember those 'walkin' cards. Thanks for sharin' them and shakin' up my memories girl.
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have yourself a wonderful Mother's Day sweetie!!! :o)
How adorable - I love the 'walking feet'.
ReplyDeleteThose paper dolls are absolutly priceless. LOVE THEM. So reminds me of the card my grandmother used to send me when I was a young girl. The same kind of "art work", but they weren't "walking dolls".
ReplyDeleteEvening walks are very peacefull. That is usually when the wind dies down here and makes it possible to go for a pleasant walk.
I remember those. I can't believe how many you have! So much better than battery operated musical cards of today.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collection, love the walking feet.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet are all those dolls ...reminds me when i was little.... and not a care in the world ...thanks for sharing
