I'm happily sharing my birthday with the Diamond Jubilee for this lady.
Wasn't her coronation dress amazing?
God Save The Queen!
(No, I'm not British, but I lived in Canada for several years as a girl.
If you have ever lived in another country, you will understand when I say
that the culture sinks in and becomes part of who you are.)
Happy Birthday. My daughter also celebrated her 15th birthday on 2nd June.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gown! Thanks for sharing the epics.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about the Queen.
ReplyDeleteShe is truly a remarkable lady.
I hope to watch her Jubilee coverage on CBC.
Happy Birthday to you. Yes a truely beautiful dress. I think Queen Elizabeth is an amazing lady.
ReplyDeleteI posted about the Jubilee as well...with a link for you to send Her Majesty your greeting! Lovely post!

I've always been interested in the British royalty. Probably because we don't have it here in the USA. QE is an admirable lady and I hope she'll keep going as long as she can. Personally, I dread the day when Charles is king...I don't care for him at all.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you! Have a nice weekend!
Very nice post . . . I like a person who doesn't have to have everything ba aboutt themselves and instead, thinking of others.
ReplyDeleteEven so, and even if it is the Queen . . . You need a huge wish of HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! all for yourself!
Happy Birthday hope you have a wonderful time....
ReplyDeleteA belated Happy Birthday for you!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a pleasant day and all the best for the new year to come!
Hugs, Carolien
A Very Happy Birthday to you!! :) Enjoy the Jubilee..do you get it televised over there? I went to a Jubilee celebration yesterday, which was fun. The weather hasn't been the greatest, I am just hoping the sun will peak out for the Tuesday..cross fingers.
ReplyDeleteWhere abouts in Canada did you live? I grew up in Alberta then lived in British Columbia for some time (before moving here to the UK). It is very true you do pick up the countries culture when you move there.
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteGayle, I truly appreciate your comment about how cultures sink deep when you've lived in another country.

Happy birthday! I was born in Canada, too - in Etobicoke, Ontario. However, we only lived there 3 months before we moved to the States.
