Here are more of the paperdolls in my collection.
These are sheets of wrapping paper.
Made by Hallmark, Current, Buzza, Forget Me Not,
American Greetings, Gordon Fraser, Rust Craft and Ambassador,
some came with an attached doll card
while others were printed right on the paper along with the clothes.
I think most of these were produced in the 70's and 80's.

Larger photos of each piece can be found on my paper doll page.
(Please pardon the glare. Many are still inside their plastic wrap.)
I did play with paper dolls and enjoyed them; I like this format of them being printed on wrapping paper, which is new to me.
ReplyDeleteThese bring back such sweet memories from long ago.

How adorable! I've never seen any paper doll wrapping paper before and it just really intrigues me. Do you know if it is still available?
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I don't remember this paper..someone was holding out on me, I loved paper dolls and would have put this treasure to good use!
ReplyDeleteHave a good day. xo
I checked out your paper doll page. What a collection you have. Paper dolls bring back such good memories from when I was a child. I think I may remember that Holly Hobby one from the card.
ReplyDeleteI think I might have had a gift wrapped in one of these before. But I don't remember thinking I could play with them. I loved paper dolls and they were always my car ride toy. Since we lived in Texas it was always a drive to get anywhere. These are darling....don't melt this week..smiles...Renee

These are all lovely. I've noticed vintage paper doll wrapping paper seems to be making a bit of a come-back. I've come across a few for sale recently as well - there is something about this format that makes them very appealing!
ReplyDeleteI don't ever remember seeing paper dolls printed on wrapping paper! Neat! This is telling my age, but I played with the Betsy McCall paper dolls way back when.
