E is for Emerald Lake, in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, where our family used to hike and canoe during summer camping trips. The color of the water is amazing.
This is a picture I took of my baby sister at Emerald Lake in 1969. I was young and this was my first camera, and it is not a very clear picture.
(Family photos may not be borrowed or pinned.)
Click on this link to see what Emerald Lake looks like today. It has an amazing Lodge and the water is just as gorgeous as it ever was.

I remembered your blog from Mosaic Monday and thought I had signed up to follow you, but I didn't see my CIT picture there, so I signed up as SuKnitWitty...my other blog which has been on MM as well. ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for your thoughts about your parents on my blog. They were very touching to me. I really have enjoyed my visit here today marveling at your embroidery collection especially. I adore that hobby myself and must get back to it. Your blog is so lovely, and it is evident how much time and thought you put into each post. I hope you have a lovely week ahead! Elizabeth

Thanks so much for adding me to your blog roll and for becoming a follower of Homestead Revival! Your pictures from the late 60's remind me of my own childhood - I must be about 4 years younger because I was in first grade in 1969-70! Everything looks familiar in that school photo in terms of style, etc. Very fun!
ReplyDeletehow sweet!! you can see the budding artist in you at a very young age -
ReplyDeleteno apology needed. your photo is better than many of mine i take these days! LOL.
Lovely! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by today! I had to chuckle at your comment about taking pictures of everything we do once we start blogging. When I first started blogging, my hubby wasn't sure if it was okay to start eating when I called him to a meal or not! lol Now when he knows I've been working on something that I want to include in my blog he just gives me an extra five minutes or so before he comes to the table! And I've even gotten him involved when I can't get good pictures. He's an excellent photographer. :)
ReplyDeleteI think it would be so neat to make cinnamon rolls in your lamb pan. I don't have a lamb, but I do have a cross pan. I like your idea and we always have an Easter breakfast at our church. I think I know what I'm going to be signing up to bring! Thanks for the great idea!
Just my kind of place...I'll have to get there someday!
ReplyDeleteEmerald Lake looks beautiful. How lucky your sister is to have a photographer in the family!
ReplyDeleteEmerald Lake is so beautiful. I checked out the link and enjoyed the photos. The color of the water is amazing. We used to live in Cooperstown, NY, and the lake there, Lake Otsego, is that lovely teal color.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful photo! And the ones of your daughter (D post) are so lovely and special as well. Looking forward to your other Alphabe-Thursday thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute photo, and how great that you have a photo from your first camera. laurie
