What are you going to do with all those buttons. They look nice the way you have them displayed. You have a nice collection.
Oh Gayle, I would give up now......toooo hard, but then again I spy a MOP beauty and there's a cute little blue one in the middle and then again.......Claire :}
I see one that I would choose...it is at about the 5:30 mark (if the plate were a clock) and has rindstones all around an opal sort of stone...very pretty. I am crazy for buttons and have many too, they are so much fun! xo
I go gaga for buttons and you have quite a bevy of pretty ones! What a treasure trove. It would be very difficult for me to pick a favorite!
What is it about these little teeny tiny treasures? I love buttons too.Danielle
A treasure trove!
ooohhh lovely you have some pretty ones there. Im making something with buttons at the moment. What are you up to? dee x
I also have MANY vintage buttons, the red and white/black one on the left front is my favorite, very chic.
I thought that I had a great collection of buttons in my button tin but yours beats me hands down. Fabulous. What's not to love about buttons??
What a pretty collection of buttons..I would have a very hard time choosing between them for sure! :)
I collect buttons too. I used a lot of them at school for the kids to make craft things.
silly you. you can NEVER choose which is the prettiest button.
My grandmother had a button tin that we used to play with. So many fun memories. You have a beautiful collection.
My great grandmother gave me a big jar of buttons when I was a child, and it was one of my most treasured possessions. I loved to line them all up in button families and look at all the unusual ones. I don't know what happened to it - I wish I still had it though!
I love your buttons....like candy!I wanted to ask what part of the mid west do you live in? I lived in MN from5th grade through 12th....
Isn't this the truth. I can finish a sewing project and fiddle for hours trying to pick the button to go with it. Too many great choices. Beautiful collection. Smiles...Renee
I've been sitting here with my tea waking up, and trying to pick out a favorite, so that I can tell you how wonderful it is. I cannot, there are simply too many to pick one. You are so lucky. People around here don't get rid of buttons cheaply. They know they're wonderful!
Well what a coincidence. I am setting up my studio and am trying to decide if I should put my buttons into jars and display them! I have tons of buttons and lots of canning jars, but I am hesitant to take the buttons off the paper packaging they come on because then they are all together and I won't have to search for matching ones. Hmmmmmm. Maybe I'll just put the loose ones in a jar!Julie
Oh I adore these little fellows...pure joy...hugs for a happy February 1st!
OOOHHHH! I love buttons. My favorite of yours is the button in the top left hand corner that has a ruby colored center!!
Don't you love them!! Have you ever made a button doll? I keep thinking I'll try it sometime.
Nice!! I love your buttons!
My mom used to have a jar full of buttons. It was one of my favorite things to play with. : )
So pretty, I love your collection! I need to do something with mine besides hiding them in my sewing closet. ~smile~ though I think yours are much prettier.Sue
I can never pick a favorite - but if I could it would be one with the thread still attached. I've not had my buttons out for a while - maybe I'll go visit them.
Are you looking for buttons to complete the project you started a couple of posts back? Thanks for stopping by my corner of the world. Hope you are having a great week. Tammy
Beautiful Butttons, you have so many!!!!
