Bluework

I'm still in the process of washing and taking photos of my linens.

I know some of you love redwork.  Well, I love bluework.
Here are some of my blue embroidered tablecloths.
Some are vintage, but the last one is newer.

I love the little flower bouquets in each corner.

Isn't she a cute little Dutch girl?
The art nouveau tulip design would look right at home in a craftsman bungalow.
(No, I don't have one of those.)

I love the blue daisy design that fills the center as well as the edges on this one.

Polkadots are always perfect.
This one is bigger and it was impossible to get a pic of the entire thing.

  5. I also like the blue and you have some nice examples there. The Dutch girl is sweet and the blue daisy one looks very familiar, I think that my grandmother had the same. All of them are so pretty, thanks for giving us a peek.

  7. So pretty. How do you store your linens? I have a lot too and they're just stuck in a box in an extra room. Many are the wrong size for my table and I never use them because they're hard to get to too. :(

  9. How do you keep them looking so clean. I have bought a few vintage pieces and two un-named children always seem to stain them.

  10. So cute! (and I love the blue best) How do you wash and care for your linens. I have some vintage ones with brown spots that I don't know what to do with : (

  11. I know, I like to use my stuff too, but it's hard when it's stored in awkward places.

We went to Ju Ju, Bella Patina, Liberty Belle and, my new fave, Urban Mining. It is on Walnut, east of Main a bit. Cramed with cool stuff. I'd have filled my car with goodies but, alas!, I am but a housewife :( (no salary :)

  12. Oh I love them all. I like any kind of one-color embroidery. Right now I am working on some pillowcases to go with my blue/white seaside quilt - I am embroidering lighthouses - all in blue - I'll do four pillowcases so I have enough for all the pillows when I use the seaside quilt on the bed.
