Who remembers Kiddle Kologne?
This is Apple Blossom.
She's missing some of her pink hair ribbons, but she's still in pretty good vintage shape.
I had one when I was a kid, so I did the happy dance when I found her.
I had a Lily of the Valley Kiddle Kologne, too.
And I think my sister(s) had Honeysuckle and Violet.
How many of these sweetly scented Kiddles were there, anyway?
Apple Blossom, Lily of the Valley, Honeysuckle,Violet, Sweet Pea, ...????
Can you help me remember all of their names?
I have such wonderful memories of fun play with these tiny dollies.

You'll find another Liddle Kiddle post here.
And Liddle Kiddle Paperdolls on my paper doll page.
I do remember having one of these but haven't thought of her in years! I've missed hearing from you. Hope you are well and that you enjoy the weekend. Mildred
ReplyDeleteI have not been able to spend as much time in "Blogville" these last few weeks. So much going on in the real world. It's all good. :-) Grandbaby on the way, etc...
DeleteLove Kolgne Kiddles! I still have my rose one, but don't have the "bottle" anymore :( That doll had the sweetest smell of roses for years and years, literally decades, but she finally lost her scent. Wish these toy companies would reissue some of these cool items from the 60s and 70s.
ReplyDeleteWeren't they wonderful, Diane? I wish I still had all of my Liddle Kiddles. Rose! That is one of the scents that I forgot. Do you remember any of the others?
DeleteI do wonderful when they will get around to recreating these again. What fun to discover them again.
ReplyDeleteThere is a whole new generation of little girls who would LOVE these dolls. Maybe the company will make them again someday.
DeleteI LOVED these dolls!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the names but they sure were fun!!!
M :)
Me too, Melinda! I wish I had kept all of my Liddle Kiddles. (I think I had 6 or 7 when I was a kid.)
DeleteI loved the Kiddles! I wish I still had my Bunsen Bernie with his little red plastic engine to ride on! I had the paper dolls too! I bet with a little Google time you could find the names of all the Kolognes.
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy! I miss seeing you on the blog! You are right, we can find out almost anything if we just spend a little bit of time researching on Google. One of my readers had "Rose", so I should add her to the list of names. I remember that little Fire Truck Kiddle! They were ALL so cute, and like every little girl at that time, I wanted them all. :-)
DeleteThese were my favorites! One time, my mother saved all of the box tops off of a cereal........I cant remember and sent off and I got Goldilocks Kiddle. She came with a little table and chair and I think a little bear............does any one remember these? Wish I still had that set!
ReplyDeleteI looked it up and found a "Storykins" Goldilocks doll with a little table and a bear. Storykins was the Hasbro equivalent to Mattel's Kiddles. I wonder if that is what you are remembering. No matter the brand, these itty bitty dolls sure were a favorite with little girls like us. :-)
DeleteI loved the little dolls. Not sure if I had that one. I think just the "little kiddles?"
ReplyDeletewarmly,
deb
I had some of the main Liddle Kiddles, one of the Kola Kiddles, two of the Kologne kiddies and another one or two of the jewelry kiddies. Wish I still had them all.
DeleteMy girls had Liddle Kiddles - such cute things - and fun. They would hide them and then when we would come upon them accidentally we had to make up a story about them and do a Liddle Skit. - which we called Liddle Skiddle.
ReplyDeleteLiddle Skiddle, how cute! Kiddles really were awesome toys!
DeleteI'm older than you so I remember Blue Waltz cologne in heart-shaped glass bottles that my older sisters had. Halo shampoo. I love those old cobalt blue bottles that so many things came in. Milk of Magnesia, Vicks Vaporub, etc., all of which have plastic containers now.
ReplyDeleteIlene, I don't think I've heard of Blue Waltz, but I'm pretty sure my mother has. She collects perfume bottles and other cobalt blue bottles.
DeleteI have never seen them before but I remember making the origami birds. We made 1000 of them at school and sent them to Japan in memory of Sadako who died from atomic bomb radiation.
ReplyDeleteDiane, I learned to fold origami cranes from my mother when I was just a little girl. Years later, I read the Sadako story. I organized a group of people at church and together we folded 1000 cranes. (Among the group were a couple of gentlemen, pilots who had fought in the Pacific during World War II.) Another gentleman from church (a tough old Navy guy) went to visit his daughter in Japan, and he took all 1000 of our cranes with him on the plane. At first the airline was going to charge him excess baggage, but when they found out what was in the box, they loaded it on board for free. When he arrived at the Peace Park in Hiroshima he was joined by a bunch of Japanese school children who helped him to hang our cranes. It was a deeply moving experience for him and he shed tears when he came back and told me.
DeleteI loved my kiddles and especially the kiddle kologne dolls because they came in the perfume bottles. I still have some of my kiddles and love them still. You can add Bluebell, Honeysuckle, Orange Blossom, and Gardenia to your list of Kolognes.

Danielle, I loved the cologne kiddies too, and to this day love the scent of apple blossoms and lily of the valley. Thank you for helping me remember the names of the others!! :-)
DeleteI don't remember ever seeing these! I must be too old. :) I'm behind on blog reading, it's just been so busy around here. Hope your week is going good! Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh no you're not. You're about the same age as me. I'm behind, too. Going through a very busy phase.
DeleteOh, she's cute!! Thanks for sharing as I have never heard of them! So fun! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteHeather, you are way too young to remember Liddle Kiddles. :-) They were dolls we played with in the late 60's/early 70's.
