Lilacs And Real Life

It's a beautiful day!
And the lilacs are starting to bloom.

Sometimes real life gets totally crazy.
(I'm sure you can relate.)
Funerals, bridal showers, graduations,
moving kids home, son's acceptance to law school...

I promise I'll be by to visit you just as soon as I can.
Until then, I hope you have time to enjoy the beauties of spring.

  1. I think most of us can relate to your post. Sometimes I go an entire week before I can catch up with my blog friends. The lilacs are beautiful...I don't believe they grow in my part of the world. But we do have Crape Myrtles that bloom in the summer.

  6. The image of your lovely lilacs caught my winter-drained eye. We have just enjoyed three straight days of glorious spring like weather and the pond , lawns and gardens are free of snow for the first time since November. Which is a good thing as we prepare for our son's wedding here at home on June 1st plus the rehearsal dinner picnic the evening before. Add parties and somehow a tremendous amount of yardwork and I can totally understand where you are at too:o)

With our very late spring, the lilacs are just showing first buds so I will revisit your picture again!!!
