Santa leaves a sparkly little tree brooch in my stocking each Christmas.
These cute, diminutive trees have turned into quite the collection.
I have them displayed in a hammered aluminum tray this year.
I wear a little jeweled tree on my lapel when I go out.
And on Christmas Eve I'll pin them to napkins at the dining table.
A couple of weeks ago, after reading one of my tree craft posts,
a fellow blogger called me the "Queen of sweet trees".
And looking back at my Christmas posts I realized she might be on to something.
I really do love trees! I have them all over the house.
I'm not the least bit regal. I'm just a Mommy from the Midwest.
But if one is going to be called Queen of something,
I can't think of a nicer subject than trees.
Your Majesty - your trees are absolutely beautiful - better than any Crown Jewels!
ReplyDeleteThese are very pretty; I like the idea of pinning them to the napkins -- unless -- they got misplaced!
ReplyDeleteQueen of the trees is a royal title for sure!

Congratulations on winning the bid on the gingerbread tree. It looks great where you have placed it!
If I don't have a chance to stop by again before Christmas I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas, Gayle. I do pray your celebration will include some good quality time with both your children over Christmas break.
Dear Tree Queen,
ReplyDeleteCould I please borrow your sweet aluminum tray and one of your tree brooches. I would wear your brooch one day and my mom's tree brooch the next day. Her brooch is old and a treasure of mine. I would give it to you to add to your collection but I am sorry, I just can't part with it.
Merry Christmas Tree Queen,
Love, Lynne

Oh the lovely trees - especially the pins. I have a collection of all sorts of different pins - 26 in all. Don buys a new one for me and for each of our daughters and we receive them at Thanksgiving - a fun tradition. I want to make something with all my pins - maybe a christmas tree with all the pins decorating it as ornaments.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful brooches, fit for a Queen!
ReplyDelete"Queen of Trees" indeed! They're so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour brooches are just beautiful Gayle. Being so small makes them very special. I had a look at the bigger photo and can't decide which is my favourite - you are very lucky to have these.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a wonderful and blessed Christmas - Sharon x
