They are timeless! We still have my daughter's Knickerbocker Raggedies. Stay warm.. I had to laugh at the news paper today. Every Saturday they have a column that tells you what you should be doing in your garden this week. We should be pruning. I actually laughed out loud. xx, Carol
I remember that when I was a child my sister and I had our room decorated with Raggedies Dolls: the curtains, the quilt bed.. I placed a drawing in the door with Raggedy Ann and Andy. Also these two dolls were there. Blessings, Cecilia
Wow - those are big - love love love them. We are having a smiley weekend - first it snowed - then it rained and now they say 3 more inches of snow this afternoon - but we're still smiling - and not going outdoors.
Thanks! We are staying snug inside. Mr. Garden had to go out in the brutal cold to shovel snow and feed the birds, but came back inside as quick as possible.
oh so sweet. They remind me of the raggedy Ann and Andy dolls I made for my daughter when she was young. ( she's going to be 34 in May) This really made me smile. Hugs!
THANK YOU for your thoughtful comments. Replies to your questions will be posted here, so be sure to check back soon. Have a wonderful day! - Gayle, Garden Of Daisies

DeleteOh the two of them are so sweet! I hardly ever see them for sale at antique shops or thrifts. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteI've seen quite a few at the shops here. Maybe it's a regional thing.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Carolien! Were the Raggedy dolls popular in Europe?
DeleteVery cute! Those look like rather large ones too.
ReplyDeleteThey were big! Each one filled a whole chair! :-)
DeleteI love these dolls. My mom has mine somewhere in her attic. I will have to look them up. Stay warm in your icky weather!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to dig your doll out of storage. :-) We are doing our best to stay warm. You too.
