Me too, Teresa. They will be here before we know it, but might have to endure a bit more cold weather, first. Temps are supposed to drop again this weekend.
I didn't even know that it was International Happiness Day. Your picture made me happy with the pretty daffodils and cheery colors. I also enjoyed reading the things making you happy today. I just finished giving my grandson a bath. That definitely made me happy and so did our beautiful weather on this first day of Spring.
First day of spring (or autumn if one is in the southern hemisphere) is the perfect time to have Happiness day! You are so lucky!! I can't wait to hold our Grandbaby and spend time with him/her.
For me todayhappiness is being home again after a week visiting family and friends in Holland. I am so happy being here again in the calm and green rural countryside of France. Thank you for remembering this day,
On No, I Missed International Happiness Day, never mind I will have to move it forward to today! Your pretty daffodil picture made me smile, thank you. Have a lovely weekend. xx
We are covered in daffodils - they are always such a welcome sight with their promise of warmer days to come. Yours look particularly bright and healthy. I didn't know there was in International Happiness Day - what a lovely idea!
Was it really International Happiness Day (in which case I missed it too!) or is this your way of celebrating the First Day of Spring, which was also 20th March - and in fact that did actually make me very happy! :) xCathy
They must have been hungry. Several years ago I had pink tulips in my front yard, and there was this little girl that would pick them and give them to her mother when they took their walk down the street. At the time I was not happy about it and sat there grumbling to myself. But looking back, it was actually kinda sweet, and I'm glad I've lived long enough to put it all into perspective.
Well happiness day has been and gone and I didn't even know about it. However, the rain that has started to fall in earnest at last makes me happy. We had the driest summer for 27 years my garden almost shrivelled into oblivion but now the rain is falling. I am happy about that.
Love daffodils! They are in full bloom all over the place here in the NW! The weather was warm and sunny last week, but we have gone back to rain and having fires in our woodstove. It's fine as I know spring is not too far away. Happiness...that's so perfect.
I always envy your growing season that arrives sooner than ours. Warm winds have continued to blow through here, and we finally have daffodils of our own! And our first tornado watch of the season, too. Nothing came of that one, though.
What a cheerful post! I share your list of happy things! Except the 'soon to be born grandchild' (congrats BTW!)... I'll change that one to my nieces and nephews - they bring me happiness everyday!
THANK YOU for your thoughtful comments. Replies to your questions will be posted here, so be sure to check back soon. Have a wonderful day! - Gayle, Garden Of Daisies
It's definitely a happy day! One day closer to the work week ending and playing with Easter crafting projects!
ReplyDeleteYay for weekends! And crafting projects!! And Easter getting closer!! :-)

ReplyDeleteTeresa,

ReplyDeleteI do believe that for Texas! And I hope you'll take lots of pictures of those wildflowers to share with us.

ReplyDeleteYes, it truly was. :-) It also happened to be the first day of spring/autumn, depending on which hemisphere you live in.
DeleteNo daffodils here, but I did plant tulips last fall, and they were up about 2 inches, and the deer came and ate them! :-(

ReplyDeleteI think rain is a pretty good thing to feel happy about. :-) Hope your garden bounces back.
