Taking A Walk

The weather is perfect for taking a walk.
Mr. Garden and I enjoy a stroll every evening.

Hallmark 1978

These little doll cards like to walk too, and are part of my paperdoll collection.

Greetings, Inc  1950 (I think.  I need a magnifying glass.)

They don't have a wardrobe of clothes to change into,
but they do have feet that move.
Sometimes attached with a grommet and
other times with a tab behind the skirt,
these little foot-wheels will roll along a carpet
and make the doll look like it's taking a walk.

I have more.  I hope to get ALL of them scanned
and up on my paperdoll page soon.

(My paperdoll page is at the top of the page, under my blog header.
It needs to be organized better... One of these days.)

I do declare missy, this post is just TOO cute. I love vintage cards. My husband and I met in a Hallmark pharmacy and later owned it, so I have very sentimental thoughts when I see Hallmark goodies.

Adorable cards. I think I was given a walking doll card as a young child (either in the last 70's or early 80's).
Thanks for sharing you lovely collection :)

These are so cute! We love taking walks in the evenings too, especially this time of year, before it gets too hot.

Those paper dolls are absolutly priceless. LOVE THEM. So reminds me of the card my grandmother used to send me when I was a young girl. The same kind of "art work", but they weren't "walking dolls".
Evening walks are very peacefull. That is usually when the wind dies down here and makes it possible to go for a pleasant walk.

I remember those. I can't believe how many you have! So much better than battery operated musical cards of today.
