Roses for you!
All photos taken last weekend at the
Laura Conyers Smith Municipal Rose Garden, in Loose Park.
Once the site of a Civil War battlefield,
this park is now one of the jewels of Kansas City.

Wishing you a
VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY !!

Thank you. The roses are all so beautiful. That looks like a place I would love to visit. Maybe someday :).
Wishing you a very special Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day. These are some of my favorite. My husband and I almost got married there...but in the end we chose the church for fear of weather. So glad you had a chance to visit...smiles...Renee
Thanks and Happy Mother's Day to you, too!
They are beautiful. I love the old fashioned roses - they usually have the best perfume too. How amazing that the rose garden was once a battlefield - now that is a worthwhile transformation!
Gorgeous! Happy Mothers Day to you.
How pretty. I just love to visit gardens. This time of year especially as everything is coming alive. Happy mother's day to you.

What lovely blooms.
gorgeous photos of some very beautiful roses. The air must have been so fragrant.
And to think they now grow at the site of a Civil War battle......roses from the thorns so to speak.
So beautiful...and, what a lovely post for Mother's Day, my friend!
Blessings,
Carolynn
So pretty! This will show you how ignorant I am--I had no idea there was a Civil War battlefield in Kansas/Missouri. Feeling really dumb;)

So pretty. It is still too early for roses to bloom here.

Sooooo pretty...I love roses..I need to go buy a bush for my garden! Happy Thursday.
Lovely to see so many roses! We have a while to wait in the UK - the ones in my garden are just starting to bud. Happy belated Mother's Day.
Beautiful! I kind of wish we had big roses like that sometimes. But I enjoy the little wild ones we get later in the summer.
For me? Thank you.
No roses here
they would be all washed away with the rain and blown bare by the wind!
Lovely flowers.
Have a good weekend.
Thanks for visiting my blog and offering such kind words of encouragement. I hope that you had a happy Mama's day as well. :)
The photos of the roses are beautiful. The second picture is my favorite! I can almost smell them.
