Happy Mother's Day. These are some of my favorite. My husband and I almost got married there...but in the end we chose the church for fear of weather. So glad you had a chance to visit...smiles...Renee

They are beautiful. I love the old fashioned roses - they usually have the best perfume too. How amazing that the rose garden was once a battlefield - now that is a worthwhile transformation!

gorgeous photos of some very beautiful roses. The air must have been so fragrant.
And to think they now grow at the site of a Civil War battle......roses from the thorns so to speak.

So pretty! This will show you how ignorant I am--I had no idea there was a Civil War battlefield in Kansas/Missouri. Feeling really dumb;)

Lovely to see so many roses! We have a while to wait in the UK - the ones in my garden are just starting to bud. Happy belated Mother's Day.

Beautiful! I kind of wish we had big roses like that sometimes. But I enjoy the little wild ones we get later in the summer.

For me? Thank you.

No roses here
they would be all washed away with the rain and blown bare by the wind!

Lovely flowers.

Have a good weekend.
