If you count looking at crochet patterns, apron patterns, soap recipes, body scrubs, I am in...probably way over my head. ;-) But I need to make a decision on some things tomorrow so that I can start getting in some supplies on Thursday. Thank you for the reminder!
I'm knee deep in orange and black but I really love your Christmas colored ric rac. I can't wait to see what you are up to. I hope you can share it with us!
I'm thinking - does that count? Actually I'm doing family portraits as gifts this year - from last summer's family reunion - so I have done more than think about it. This is a fun time of the year.
I have started thinking Christmas too. Three months pass quickly and now is the time to enjoy that Christmas creativity without all the stress. Christmas cards are under production here, and some pressies in the planning :-) Pam xx
Gosh, the previous commenter took my comment, lol! So, I guess I'll just have to "repeat myself". I love ric-rac, it's just so fun! There now, I'm happy! We just finished our daughter's 6th birthday party, so now I am going to start baking my Christmas gifts. This year I'm getting a head start on it, since everything can be frozen. I want to relax and enjoy the Christmas season without overburdening myself. Take for example two years ago, I believe, where I was dipping home made peanut butter balls in the chocolate. At 12:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve! AND it was my first time making them! See where I'm going here?! We are toning down the commercialism and taking the time to think about and enjoy the reason for the Season, Christ's birth.
Hi Sue! You are so smart to be thinking about all the ways you can save time during the holidays. When Thanksgiving and Christmas roll around I always wish I had a bigger freezer,
I just finished my yo yo scarecrow and now I'm working on a custom garland order. I'm not making any gifts for Christmas but I always look forward to its arrival! ♥
I'll be anxiously waiting to see what you make with the rick rack! It's such a lovely trim to use. I've purchased some toweling and an embroidery pattern for winter work. Presently I'm quilting.
Christmas? I can barely think past today! My creative juices aren't exactly flowing at the moment unfortunately. I need something to kick start me. Maybe something for Halloween. :) Best wishes, Tammy
I don't craft as much as I once did. I do love rick rack though and can't wait to see more of what you are working on. I hope you and yours have a lovely weekend
This looks really interesting. :) I just used rick rack on some baby burp pads I'm sending to my niece tomorrow - I did a half dozen of them using a fabric piece on one end of a prefold diaper and edged each with ribbon or rick rack. So cute! blessings, marlene
THANK YOU for your thoughtful comments. Replies to your questions will be posted here, so be sure to check back soon. Have a wonderful day! - Gayle, Garden Of Daisies

ReplyDeleteI enjoy looking at all the crafts that people make, too. Wish I had time to do more.
DeleteI love ric-rac, it's just so fun! I'm still thinking Halloween but will be switching gears to Christmas very soon:@)
ReplyDeleteI wish I had enough time to craft for more than one holiday. But... alas I do not. So I usually concentrate my efforts on Christmas.

Your yo-yo scarecrow turned out really cute, Holly!
DeleteI've been making primitive wooden holiday signs. So fun.
ReplyDeleteDid you find your craft fair, Lisa?

ReplyDeleteI'm doing a bit of simple patchwork, too... it's part of this project.
DeleteI've not even begun to give Christmas a thought!
ReplyDeleteYou must show us your projects so we can steal your ideas!!
I will show a picture when I'm finished. Wish there were more hours in the day. Or less work.
DeleteI'm trying to get ready for the Christmas rush already! Look forward to seeing your projects!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteSo pretty! I am getting ready to start Christmas sewing!! Happy sweet day! xo Heather

ReplyDeleteHalloween would be good inspiration for quick creative projects. (only about three weeks to go.)
DeleteI don't craft as much as I once did. I do love rick rack though and can't wait to see more of what you are working on. I hope you and yours have a lovely weekend
ReplyDeleteI just craft in my spare time. Wish I could do more.

ReplyDeleteMarlene, the edged burp rags sound lovely. Every mommy needs pretty things for her baby.
DeleteI so love rick rack and its many uses. I've got several different cookies made and frozen already. I'm hoping also to do some table runners.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you are really organized. Maybe I should get some baking done early, too. (Do you freeze the dough, or freeze the already baked cookies?)
DeleteOoooh, I love the picture you posted! Can hardly wait to see what you've been stitching:)
ReplyDeleteI dont' want to give too much away, yet.
