Polly and Molly March With The Band

Don't Polly and Molly look cute?
They got dressed up to march with the band in their hometown July 4th parade.

I found this box of paper dolls shoved down in a corner at an antique shop.
It cost next to nothin' and was stuffed full of several other dolls and their clothes, too.
To me, that was like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  :-)

What wonderful finds have you discovered recently?

I suppose they appeal to me as they were made the same year I was. HA!

  6. No finds, but enjoying your paper dolls. In 1958 that was one of my favorite activities. It ranked right up with hopscotch and the Bobbsey Twins.

  7. Oh, they are so cute, definitely a pot of gold moment. My sister and I had a few different paper dolls as kids,I think Barbie was one of them, wish we still had them.

    1. You still have those memories of playing paperdolls with your sister. And that is the most important thing.

    1. Pam, that sounds like a really wonderful way to display the dolls. Be sure to look for acid free products (tape and backing paper) to frame them with.

    1. I really think a lot of it depends on parenting style. I grew up knowing the importance and wonder of imaginative play, so made sure that my children had time for that, too.
