Happy 4th!

What is your favorite way to spend the holiday?
Picnics, BBQ's, parades, boating at the lake, tossing horseshoes,
visiting historic landmarks, watching fireworks?
Whatever you do,  I hope you enjoy the time with your family and friends.
Happy 4th!

    1. We had perfect weather! Warm and sunny in the afternoon, cooling off a bit in the evening, just in time for the fireworks.

  3. I love the new patriotic photo border! Home Sweet Home...we will go to parade, grill a steak, do some work in the yard then head to fireworks. We took the day off on Friday to play and putter some more...day off, well that's a bit of an exaggeration when I look at the number of things that need to be done in the yard!

    1. Enjoy your long weekend! We got some yard work done prior to visitors arriving for the 4th, but there is lots more still to be done.

    1. That sounds perfect. We are lucky that we have a nice view of the city fireworks display right from our own front yard. Watching from afar is so much better than getting mixed up in the traffic at the display site.

  5. Happy Fourth to you!
I have many fond memories from days gone by. These days, we enjoy a quiet time at home. We do have a watermelon chilling to enjoy tomorrow.

  7. It's currently pouring once again. It looks as though our plans for boating, grilling and fireworks will be cancelled :(. Oh well, I guess we'll catch the fireworks on tv instead.
Hope your day is a good one, Gayle.

    1. The good thing about boating and grilling is that they can be enjoyed all summer long. And hopefully they will have a "rain day" for the fireworks, instead of a complete cancellation.

  11. Happy 4th to you! We stay home and BBQ ribs. We can see the fireworks from our upper deck. The show doesn't start until 10:15pm though because it stays light up here until then! That's almost past my bedtime. Lol Have fun!

    1. I remember as a little girl complaining about having to go to bed while it was still light outside. :-)

  12. We used to have a party every year, but it's just too much work so we're having a lazy day until the fireworks tonight!

  13. Love your flag. This year is a bit unusual being in a motel room 2 states away from home. Hope you had a wonderful 4th!

    1. You just stretched your "celebration of America" out over several days, Kim. Traveling all around the west was more exciting than any 4th celebration ever could be.

  14. I like staying home these days - barbecuing breakfast and dinner, relaxing in the backyard, and watching the neighbors' fireworks. I hope your 4th of July was great.
