What is your favorite way to spend the holiday?
Picnics, BBQ's, parades, boating at the lake, tossing horseshoes,
visiting historic landmarks, watching fireworks?
Whatever you do, I hope you enjoy the time with your family and friends.
Happy 4th!

Happy 4th!
We will be going tl the parade tomorrow morning
ReplyDeleteand over to friends for a cookout in the afternoon.
We go over to the college to watch the fireworks
in the evening.
Enjoy your day!
:o)
Sounds like a perfect day!
DeleteHappy 4th of July :) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cheryl.
DeleteEnjoy the day whatever you do Gayle, hope it's lovely weather and good time to catch up with friends

We had perfect weather! Warm and sunny in the afternoon, cooling off a bit in the evening, just in time for the fireworks.
DeleteI love the new patriotic photo border! Home Sweet Home...we will go to parade, grill a steak, do some work in the yard then head to fireworks. We took the day off on Friday to play and putter some more...day off, well that's a bit of an exaggeration when I look at the number of things that need to be done in the yard!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your long weekend! We got some yard work done prior to visitors arriving for the 4th, but there is lots more still to be done.
DeleteWe'll fire up the grill and have a BBQ and then at dusk, stand outside and watch fireworks from afar! Enjoy your day my friend!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds perfect. We are lucky that we have a nice view of the city fireworks display right from our own front yard. Watching from afar is so much better than getting mixed up in the traffic at the display site.
DeleteHappy Fourth to you!
ReplyDeleteI have many fond memories from days gone by. These days, we enjoy a quiet time at home. We do have a watermelon chilling to enjoy tomorrow.
Mmmm, watermelon is one of my summer favorites. We sliced one up yesterday, too.
DeleteHappy 4th to you!!! Enjoy your day celebrating!! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteThank you, Heather!
DeleteIt's currently pouring once again. It looks as though our plans for boating, grilling and fireworks will be cancelled :(. Oh well, I guess we'll catch the fireworks on tv instead.
ReplyDeleteHope your day is a good one, Gayle.
The good thing about boating and grilling is that they can be enjoyed all summer long. And hopefully they will have a "rain day" for the fireworks, instead of a complete cancellation.
DeleteHappy birthday, America. Wishing you a wonderful Fourth!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol!
DeleteWe are barbqing and just having a low key day. Hope you are able to do the same.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July.
Hugs

BBQ and the 4th are a perfect combo.
DeleteI'm going to work......Happy 4th, Heidi
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to work on the holiday. Hopefully you still had a bit of time at the end of the day to celebrate.
DeleteHappy 4th to you! We stay home and BBQ ribs. We can see the fireworks from our upper deck. The show doesn't start until 10:15pm though because it stays light up here until then! That's almost past my bedtime. Lol Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI remember as a little girl complaining about having to go to bed while it was still light outside. :-)
DeleteWe used to have a party every year, but it's just too much work so we're having a lazy day until the fireworks tonight!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th!
Carol
Hosting can be a lot of work. We had ours potluck style this year to make it a bit easier.
DeleteLove your flag. This year is a bit unusual being in a motel room 2 states away from home. Hope you had a wonderful 4th!
ReplyDeleteYou just stretched your "celebration of America" out over several days, Kim. Traveling all around the west was more exciting than any 4th celebration ever could be.
DeleteHappy 4th of July to you!!
ReplyDeleteI like staying home these days - barbecuing breakfast and dinner, relaxing in the backyard, and watching the neighbors' fireworks. I hope your 4th of July was great.
ReplyDeleteWe tend to do that too. We want to be with family on the holidays.
