It is said that a cup of tea helps make everything better.
So I'm pouring nice hot cups of tea for all my friends to the east
who are cold, wet, muddy, without power and dealing with damaged property.
Sending hugs and hope as you assess the damage from Frankenstorm Sandy
and begin the massive clean-up.

Oh, your blue tea things are lovely! I love the Shelley teacup especially! Yes, a cuppa tea helps one feel better. A touching post for all our friends who have been devastated by the superstorm; on the east coast and in parts of Ontario too. Thank you for coming to tea and have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
I am trying to think of a message to send. This is a good one.

Very touching tea for friend to the East. Your Shelley "Dainty Blue" teacup is lovely. Blue and white is one of my favorites. Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteThe Shelley teacup is so beautiful - it has a very unique shape. I like the other tea things as well.
ReplyDeleteThat is a thoughtful gesture. Wouldn't it be great if we could all go and take tea and scones to everyone.
ReplyDeleteMakes me feel so helpless when these things happen.
But we are all Unified, as a human family, to care and pray for each other.
Such a lovely post for teatime this week. Love your blue and white china, so pretty.

ReplyDeleteMy very British grandmother believed it was always time to stop and drink from the most beautiful cup in the room. No matter the day...smiles..Renee
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and sweet thoughts for our friends affected by the storm.
ReplyDeleteOh! Oh! I know that Shelley blue - have had my eye on one just like it at the tea shop around the corner - but frightfully out of my pocketbook's range. Hoping I might barter a thing or two eventually for it - the shape, the feel of a Shelley at that quality level. Thank you so much for blessing my teatime self after our storm. All is well and back to normal in our town, but just a 30 minute drive away - total devastation. Prayers for our shoreline neighbors is always appreciated.
ReplyDeleteJoy!

ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful gesture! The teacup is just lovely. I remember my grandmother always making tea when I went to visit her. The tea always seemed to make the wonderful visit all the more special. Enjoy the rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteA good cuppa always warms the cockles of your heart. Heartfelt thoughts to those who've been affected by Sandy.

What a wonderful idea, tea and hugs the perfect combination. Our prayers are all directed to your side of the world. We do nothing but complain about rain in the UK, but this puts it into perspective!
ReplyDeleteWhat a touching post! And yes...tea is a cup of comfort.
