A Trio Of Glittery Trees


I finally finished up the little project I was working on!
A trio of glittery trees!



I saw these sampler trees at Amy Powers- Inspired Ideas Christmas 2010, 
and wanted to give her pattern a try.


So I gathered up all sorts of colorful beads, shiny sequins, ric-rac trim
 and embroidery floss and got to work.


When I posted the sneak peek photo a couple of weeks ago, 
a few of you thought I was making a tree skirt.
That would be a great idea too! 
Just for fun, I laid all three of the flat panels together
to see what a tree skirt might look like.


Anyway, I just love how these little trees turned out.
And can't wait to start decorating for Christmas next Friday!

    You have put a lot of work into those. They are delightful. I wouldn't have the skill or patience to make them. My creative weekend involves cleaning out the garage. It is the council's kerbside clean up next week so out goes all the old hoarded stuff. 'm hoping to renovate the garage and laundry after that.

    I would never have guessed when you posted the 'teaser' that this is what you were making. I would feel I had really achieved something if I made just one! They are lovely.

    Those are just the sweetest little Christmas tree's. Love the sparkly embellishments! I think it would look great as a tree skirt as well.

    Those are fantastic! I really love all the rickrack, glitter and sequin, it looks so festive and beautiful. The spools on the bottom are such a wonderful detail, too!

    Be still my heart! These are just wonderful! They bring me back to my childhood memories of glitter and dazzle which I associated with Christmas.

    I got the tool box from Good Juju and the plant stand at Bella Patina. We really had a fun time. We went to dinner at Jack Stack BBQ in the freighthouse area and then went to some art galleries.

    Oh those are just too cute and glittery - I love the sparkle of them. I've made some trees similar to this but not with quite that much shimmer and shine - I just might gather my things up and make some.
