You know I haven't planted it for a couple years but it is such a predictable plant and has the most beautiful bright red. Not to mention the smell...On my list next year...smiles...Renee
A few hours ago I was out looking at my sage and thinking how healthy it looked (and thinking of Thanksgiving). My kind of sage has pretty purple flowers right now.
Oh my gosh! That is gorgeous and I've not ever seen it before. Sage is one of my favorite plants/herbs. We live in a semi-arid climate and when it gets really hot the wild sage smells so aromatic...healing, ya know?
THANK YOU for your thoughtful comments. Replies to your questions will be posted here, so be sure to check back soon. Have a wonderful day! - Gayle, Garden Of Daisies
So pretty! Is it an annual?
ReplyDeleteThis is the second blog that I've seen this kind of sage on, so I'm going to take it as a sign that I need to get some! I love red flowers!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful! The bloom reminds me of Cardinal flower! Enjoy your weekend! ♥
ReplyDeleteI am familiar with a sage plant which has the soft green leaf, but no scarlet flower. This is lovely . . .
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I have Russian sage and ordinary run-of-the-mill sage that grows everywhere on the island - I love the smell of it!

ReplyDeleteI'm only familiar with garden sage with purple blooms and one I grow in the flower bed with blue blooms, which stinks! This is certainly pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow - I have grown this but never let it bloom. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteHey Gayle, I remember my mum had this growing in her garden. Loving the beautiful scarlet flowers.........
