I found some sweet little napkins last weekend
and knew they would be perfect for tea parties with my friends.
I love the delicate embroidery work on these little beauties.
The crocheted and cross stitched hems add a nice finishing touch.
I wonder about the people who made them, and how they came to be in the store.
I wish the original makers knew how delighted I was to find them!

They are lovely. I, too, consider handmade items a labor of love.
ReplyDeleteMy grandma taught me how to embroider. She started me with a dresser scarf. It was pretty bad, if I remember right.

Oh so pretty!!! I bought a vintage tablecloth the other day that has very similar little flowers like the cross-stitch napkins - I must take a picture of it for my blog.

I'm in love with your napkins, they are simply gorgeous, delicate, beautiful colors. Are you really going to let your friends use them? Could we just hold them up and say 'look at these beauties, I'm sorry no you may not touch them but you may look.' I'm awful but really, they're too beautiful to use!!!

So Strange...I just bought the very same napkins at the flea market (same as the ones on the right) Must have been a common pattern. I plan to have another giveaway with these in the near future!

My favourite jelly belly is the coconut together with the pineapple..and then black, I always adore black jelly beans. The only one I detest is the dark green one..I don't know what flavour it is..it's just detestable. Fortunately there were only three of those! What are your favourites?
