Piggy

Mexican, paper mache, folk-art piggy from the 60's.
I have had this since I was a little girl.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
(I'm having tacos for dinner.)

Please join us for Vintage Thingie Thursday over at The Colorado Lady.

  1. My daughter was born on cinco de mayo so I forget that it's another holiday! Love the pig. I wish I had kept some of my great Mexico decor from when I was young and used to cross the border now and then...

    Blessings, Debbie

  8. Those eyes are so beautiful on your precious piggy. Your dinner sounds so much more fun that the stew I have cooking in the crockpot.

  9. I LOVE this piggy! When I was in Costa Rica last spring, I saw stacks and stacks of piggies that were bright yellow with red and blue dots and lines painted on them.

I always saw them from the window of the bus as we buzzed by - - - so I couldn't check them out up close and personal.

But they were shaped much like your little piggie.
