P is for Plaza Penguins Polka Performance

P is for  Plaza Penguins Polka Performance.

Is that a polka?

Or the tango?

Texas two step?

My baby in blue.

As you know from some of my previous posts, a wee bit of nuttiness runs in our family!  These pictures were taken when my son was still in elementary school.  (6th grade I think.)  He is now at University and probably would be embarrassed to know that I showed these to everybody!

The Country Club Plaza, a beautiful shopping district designed to look like Seville, Spain.

The Plaza lit up for the holidays.

  1. The Plaza Penguin dancing is adorable. So nice the Penguin found a dance partner! Yes, he probably would be embarrassed but only if his friends were to see them!

Thanks so much for linking a little blue this week.

  4. Oh how this Missouri gal enjoyed the dance of the Penguins and how your son hammed it up with 'em. The Plaza is a marvelous place to visit any time of year.

Ya'll have a wonderfully blessed day!!!

  5. Gosh I'm so glad that you're a little mad. I would be worried if all bloggers were sane! Your son looked as though he was thoroughly enjoying himself and if he's at university he probably gets up to similar things again now...mine did.

  17. Cute pics of the dancing penguins!(and cute kid, too)! We were initially focused in the Seattle area--primarily Magnolia neighborhood, but have decided to over on the coast, and consider doing a split week, and just keeping a tiny apartment in the city. I love the Plaza-- in our Fort Riley days, that was my favorite "day trip"!

  18. What great public place art!
Are you ready for your son's horror when he learns that you didn't just share these photos, but posted them for the world to see? Of course, none of his friends would ever recognize him - love his attitude in these shots!

  19. Isn't it wonderful how we embarrass our adult children? I've just completed the poster board of photos for my son's wedding on Friday evening...there are some shots he'll be a little embarrassed to see. I can't wait!

  20. I have a lot of those "embarrassing" photos of my sons-I asked the youngest[he's in med schl] the other week what I should do with all the naked ones! these days they would probably be considered very bad,LOL!

  21. What fun :-) I'm sure he would be embarrassed now, but he looks like he's enjoying the camera at age 12!

You asked how I had time to do the craziness? I don't! Memes and are just about done. I may need help.

  37. I think you need to get those photos blown up really big and get them ready for your son's wedding, it never hurts to be prepared! I adore penguins and would have to have hubby take lots of photos of me with them! When we went to Boston I had to take lots of photos of me with the brass duckling sculptures from "Make Way For Ducklings". I think these sculptures are so unique and special!

  41. Those photos are just too cute! Your son really looks like he is in step with the penguins!

I'm sorry you lost your vintage blue tile. Were were able to fix our tub faucet and replace 6 tiles with creamy white ones that matched the trim. So now it looks like we highlighted that area, at least that's what I keep telling myself!

  43. Those are neat penguins for sure. Of course the kid is no slouch either.
I think all parents should have pictures like this to hold over the heads of their kids.

Happy MidWeek Blues! Thank you for peeking in on us and passing out a little cheer. Actually Adi did just have a bath, it was for KP coming to our home for the week. She doesn't get to have chocolate. In fact she knows the word chocolate and leaves if I tell her that what I am eating is chocolate. :)
