Ohio Quilt Barn

I stumbled across this wonderful old weathered quilt barn
on my way to my niece's wedding.
I haven't been able to locate this barn on the Quilt Trail map
but it was near Hillsboro, Ohio. (Brown or Highland Co?)
This starry block is sometimes called "Milky Way".
If you are from the southwest corner of Ohio and have more info,
please let me know.

  8. How lovely. We have an area down on our coast-Tillamook-where the whole town has started painting quilt blocks on the buildings. It's so fun.

  11. Very pretty, Gayle. I still haven't done the ones nearby yet. The friend that I was going to do it with moved and is still getting settled in her new home. I'm hoping that we can still get to do it. Thanks so much for sharing this one with us.

  15. Love the barn! I have been thinking about making a barn quilt for my new Art Barn. I really think that they are so pretty. Now, in a post a bit before this one you have crocheted little dresses hanging on a clothes line . . . they total took my breath away and reminded me of my dear sweet Mama. She used to make those and even made dresses for my dolls. Thank you for the memory:)

    1. Oh I hope you do make a quilt for your barn! I love the way they look. Glad you enjoyed the little crocheted dresses. There are so many sweet things from days gone by that could easily be lost if we don't take care to preserve....
