Lucky you! Our weather hasn't calmed down long enough for things to know which season it is. I have buds on my lilacs, but it will be a while before I can enjoy those wonderful scents you've mentioned. Enjoy!
Can't wait till my lilacs bloom! By the way, I nominated your blog for a shine on award, http://happy-as-a-lark-designs.blogspot.com/2014/05/shine-on.html Don't worry if you can't participate, just wanted to share your blog! :)
THANK YOU for your thoughtful comments. Replies to your questions will be posted here, so be sure to check back soon. Have a wonderful day! - Gayle, Garden Of Daisies
Is there a more lovely bush for spring than the lilac, in fragrance and in appearance? Not to me.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteThis was certainly a lilac year! Mine are full and the aroma is heady when I go outside . . . and I do have lots of bouquets in the house!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I got these pics when I did. We had several days of rain right after they bloomed, and then they turned brown.
DeleteIt's not quite lilac time here, but when they bloom I love to bring armsfull of the inside.
ReplyDeleteWhat color are yours?
DeleteI can't wait for lilacs! I can't wait for any blooms! Such gorgeous smells.
ReplyDeleteI try to bury my nose in the bush, when the bees aren't around.
DeleteI can almost smell the lilacs.
ReplyDeleteWish they were still in bloom. Time is so short.
DeleteGorgeous! They'll be ready soon here too-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteI did!
DeleteMy Favorites!! I have to wait until at least the end of May, but who knows with this delayed Spring.
ReplyDeleteHopefully yours are blooming now.
DeleteI can almost smell the sweet fragrance of your lilacs all the way down here, at the bottom of the world...they are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLOVE lilacs! Ours won't be blooming for awhile yet. Nice to see yours.
ReplyDeleteProbably by now yours have bloomed and faded. Spring flower time is way too short.
DeleteI took Belle walking the other night and the air was filled with beautiful, sweet lilacs!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful scent!
DeleteOne of the best Springtime Fragrances . . .
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteOh yes, one of the best fragrance combinations ever! And when accompanied by birdsong, it couldn't be more perfect.
ReplyDeleteSpring flowers and birdsong... not much can compete with that!
DeleteOh so pretty and can't wait for ours in the UK to start blooming. x
ReplyDeleteI have been away, but I assume that they have bloomed by now.
DeleteOh lucky, lucky you! Ours are "thinking" about budding, but spring is taking its sweet time in arriving in Wisconsin this year!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that you are enjoying your beautiful blooms by now.
DeleteA beautiful spring flower!! Enjoy and happy weekend! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteThank you, Heather!
DeleteLilacs are my favorites. We're nowhere near lilac time, so I'm especially glad to see your beautiful picture. I almost named my blog "Lilac Time."
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites, too!
DeleteOh those smell soooooooooo good!
ReplyDeleteM :)
Do you have any of these in your garden, Melinda?
