Paperdolls from Tami

I want to show you the paperdolls that Tami (Vintage Connections) gave to me.
Each time we've met in real life, she has arrived with the sweetest gifts in hand.

Baby Grows Up-  Whitman 1955

Aren't these darling?
The cutest little baby paperdolls!
I'm old enough to remember wearing clothes very similar to these.

Princess Diana and Prince Charles- Tom Tierney,  Dover Publications 1985

Any other Princess Diana fans out there besides me?
I remember every single one of the outfits pictured in this book
and can probably even tell you where she was when she wore them.
I still get a lump in my throat when I think of the tragic way her life ended.

Thank you, Tami,  for these wonderful additions to my paperdoll collection!
You are too sweet!
And I love them!

  2. Paper dolls were the main thing I played with when a child I guess. Most of mine came from mail order catalogs however. I have a few books now and love them. I always wished for the presidential paper dolls from Dover. Tami is a wonderful friend!

    1. Wasn't it amazing that she made so many people feel connected to her and loved by her. She had an amazing gift and the world is a poorer place now that she is gone.

I almost wish I could sit down and play again with some little girl LOL But I guess people would think I was ready for the mental institution. You really have a wonderful collection and I especially the Princess Diana dolls. Thanks so much for taking me down memory lane again.
    Have a terrific week.

    1. Who would have thought that a grown woman would still love to play with paperdolls? Apparently there are a bunch of us, as they hold a big convention every year. :-)

  15. How fascinating. My cousin is Caroline Charles who designed the tartan dress Diana wore at the Braemar Gathering. I never thought to see one of her dresses on a a paper doll. Amazing!

    1. That tartan Caroline Charles outfit was one of my favorites! I bought one from Laura Ashley that I thought looked a bit similar. (We all wanted to look like Diana.)
