Thank you, Dianna. I honestly don't know why I always seem to get so wordy and poetic when the leaves turn in the fall. Maybe it's because I love trees so much. ??
Gorgeous rich color. I wish fall lasted longer. We are starting an avalanche of leaves in our yard. I guess I'll need to find the rakes soon. Happy November!!
Love the autumn colors! Everything here has been kinda late. Just within the last week the leaves have been at their peak......and are already starting to fall!
I bet it's beautiful! It is so hard to pinpoint exactly when the leaves will change color. So many variables that can make it a showy year, or not.. (daytime and nighttime temperatures, rainfall through out the season, stress on the trees, etc...)
We had a little rain and wind storm last night and when we woke, one of our trees had dropped all but about 10 leaves. Yes, pretty much the entire tree full of leaves came down in 8 hours. But other types of trees are just beginning to turn color, so I think we will get to enjoy the show a little bit longer.
We will have some of those gray wet days as fall progresses into winter. But today our sky is bright blue, and provides a perfect backdrop for the rusty red colored leaves outside my office window.
THANK YOU for your thoughtful comments. Replies to your questions will be posted here, so be sure to check back soon. Have a wonderful day! - Gayle, Garden Of Daisies
