It's AlphabeThursday at
Jenny Matlock's and the letter of the week is X.
X is for
Xavier.
Saint Francis
Xavier.
The Church of St Francis
Xavier, which was designed by Barry Byrne,
is known locally as "the Fish Church". It is located across the street from Rockhurst University.

For a minute there I thought that you were going to write about our beloved St Francis Xavier University in Antigonish Nova Scotia. What a beautiful church that is - a lovely place to worship.
I love that is fish shaped~ what a feat of engineering!
What an accomplishment this must have been for the designer to see his project completed. Love the shape and it is beautiful inside as well. Looking forward to the next two weeks as you finish up the alphabet with Y and Z!

And what a clever use of the letter "X"!
I got a bit worried that there might be rulers involved when I saw the "Xavier" title...that was a close one!

beautiful post!
Gayle, I just wanted to drop by and let you know that I was praying for your family today. It was three years ago today that my mother-in-law passed away...and as I was thinking of our loss, I thought of your family and prayed for you.
Love the monolithic art of color blocking which ties into the exterior structure...
Most impactful.
Kudos for your X day post!
