I bought some of these at the farmers market yesterday.
(Doesn't this almost look like a quilt?)
Yum! These baby heirloom tomatoes were delicious!
I sliced them in half and put them over the top of my pasta tonight.
I'll use the rest to make a basil and fresh mozzarella salad tomorrow.
A couple of months ago somebody posted a recipe for a tomato and cheese tart.
Does anyone remember who that was?
Ohh they look so good, my mouth is watering. I adore tomatoes of all kinds in the summer! I've never seen these little gems before.

Those look so yummy! I love fresh tomatoes. We had our first cherry tomatoes from the garden a few days ago. I can hardly wait until the others are ripe. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving the nice comment.

Don't know about the recipe Gayle but I do know the colours in those tomatoes are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIf you had to pic a fruit/vegie that sums up Summer it would have to be tomatoes. The colours, flavour, aroma of the leaves..........
I have just come in from digging over and manuring the vegie garden. I'm getting ready for Summer, bring it on.

I love these heirloom tomatoes that the markets have been selling...so fun. And I loved reading you Beatrix Potter post. My girls had the service (both china and silver) for special occasion meals....and of course we read and reread many of the books till they began to fall apart. We even have a Beatrix Potter cookbook.
