Knee Deep In Ric-Rac

There are less than 3 months til Christmas, my friends!
Holiday projects are underway so I'm knee-deep in ric-rac.
:-)

Are you working on anything special?

  1. If you count looking at crochet patterns, apron patterns, soap recipes, body scrubs, I am in...probably way over my head. ;-) But I need to make a decision on some things tomorrow so that I can start getting in some supplies on Thursday. Thank you for the reminder!

    1. Yes, looking at patterns and buying supplies counts. All part of the process. Sounds like you will have your hands full with some delightful projects.

    1. Can't wait to see it! We have so many wonderful holidays in the last three months of the year, it's hard to find time to do projects for all of them.

  6. I'm thinking - does that count? Actually I'm doing family portraits as gifts this year - from last summer's family reunion - so I have done more than think about it. This is a fun time of the year.

  7. I have started thinking Christmas too. Three months pass quickly and now is the time to enjoy that Christmas creativity without all the stress. Christmas cards are under production here, and some pressies in the planning :-) Pam xx

    1. I wish I had enough time to craft for more than one holiday. But... alas I do not. So I usually concentrate my efforts on Christmas.

  10. Gosh, the previous commenter took my comment, lol! So, I guess I'll just have to "repeat myself". I love ric-rac, it's just so fun! There now, I'm happy! We just finished our daughter's 6th birthday party, so now I am going to start baking my Christmas gifts. This year I'm getting a head start on it, since everything can be frozen. I want to relax and enjoy the Christmas season without overburdening myself. Take for example two years ago, I believe, where I was dipping home made peanut butter balls in the chocolate. At 12:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve! AND it was my first time making them! See where I'm going here?! We are toning down the commercialism and taking the time to think about and enjoy the reason for the Season, Christ's birth.

    1. Hi Sue! You are so smart to be thinking about all the ways you can save time during the holidays. When Thanksgiving and Christmas roll around I always wish I had a bigger freezer,

I just finished my yo yo scarecrow and now I'm working on a custom garland order.
I'm not making any gifts for Christmas but I always look forward to its arrival!

  20. This looks really interesting. :) I just used rick rack on some baby burp pads I'm sending to my niece tomorrow - I did a half dozen of them using a fabric piece on one end of a prefold diaper and edged each with ribbon or rick rack. So cute! blessings, marlene
