Another baby afghan complete; A blue granny-stripe.
I finished this one just in the nick of time.
The baby shower was last night, so now it's in the new Mommy's hands.
I crocheted a granny stripe rectangle with horizontal stripes
(84 rows, with colors in varying widths)
then added a border (10 rounds)
and finished it off with triple-V-edging.
Baby Bee Sweet Delight yarn in 10 colors:
Meema's Blue, Baby's Blue, Infant Teal, Surf Baby, Surf Mommy,
Sugar Plum, Sun Kisses, Angel, Baby Sage and Mint Charm.
(I used two skeins of the Meema's Blue.)
Now it's time to plan what to make next.

ReplyDeleteLynn, that is exactly why I made granny stripes. I haven't learned how to connect blocks yet. :-) But I do need to learn soon. Can't put it off for too much longer.

ReplyDeleteLynne, this is the 4th baby afghan I have made this year. And I just found out that one more will need to be made before December, as one more special little person is going to be joining this family before this year is out. What an incredible year!

ReplyDeleteDianna, I am so glad I learned to crochet when I did. 4 baby afghans made this year and 1 more to go. I just found out a 5th baby will be joining our growing family in Dec. How blessed we are.

I love those colors, so was very glad when I discovered (half way into making the blanket) that they baby's room will be a good match. LOL, usually I do it the other way around, but that wasn't an option for me this time.

DeleteMy mom tried to teach me how to crochet but she was left handed and I was right handed so it didn't work. Now I'm sorry I didn't learn as I see the lovely work you have done.
