Miss Betsy McCall wants to show you the pretty ruffled dress
she plans to wear on Easter Sunday.
She would have modeled her bunny suit, too,
but her friend needed to borrow it today.
Oh.... here comes the Easter Bunny (aka Mr. Blue Bear) now,
with a basket full of eggs for all the mice and bears who reside in the Little Blue House.
What a good natured bear, to dress up like a bunny for his children.
Happy Easter everyone!

(My sister found the 8" Betsy McCall made by the Tonner Doll Company
at a doll convention she attended a few years ago.)
Happy Playing! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteOh my! You are having lots of fun today. I need to get in my doll room and play...see if I can find some more bunnies! Isn't Betsy the sweetest!
ReplyDeleteI wish they made that purple dress in my size!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty lavender dress!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful! I can remember the paper dolls very well but I've never seen an actual doll before. I love her dress. The bunny suit also looks very cuddly on Blue Bear.
ReplyDeleteOh how lucky to have a Betsy McCall doll, and as usual, Mr. Blue Bear is too charming. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteYou have so many darling retro dolls! I only remember the Betsy McCall paperdolls from the magazine each month.
ReplyDeleteWow, that lavender dress is really fancy!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! You need a granddaughter...
ReplyDeleteI still love dolls and this one is precious. Happy Easter to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteI think my Mom's arrival of her McCall's magazine is one of my earliest memories. We would turn to the Betsy McCall page and read the picture story when I was 4 years old.
ReplyDeleteI remember Betsy McCall. I had Ginny and Jill dolls and instead of Betsy, and had the best time with them. Learned to sew to make them clothes. Betsy looks so pretty in her Easter finery.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet she is...The dress is so pretty :)

ReplyDeleteGayle, that Betsy McCall doll is absolutely precious. Why is it that they don't make dolls like that anymore? :( Love the little ruffled dress she is wearing also.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter week to you, my friend! xo

ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only woman who still likes to play with dolls. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you, too!
Oh what a pretty doll. When I was a little girl she would have been one I would have loved. I always wanted dolls with dark here and all shades of purple have always been my favorite. So pretty. Have a Happy Easter! :)
