God Save The Queen!

I'm happily sharing my birthday with the Diamond Jubilee for this lady.
Wasn't her coronation dress amazing?

God Save The Queen!

(No, I'm not British, but I lived in Canada for several years as a girl.
If you have ever lived in another country, you will understand when I say
that the culture sinks in and becomes part of who you are.)

  7. I've always been interested in the British royalty. Probably because we don't have it here in the USA. QE is an admirable lady and I hope she'll keep going as long as she can. Personally, I dread the day when Charles is king...I don't care for him at all.
Happy Birthday to you! Have a nice weekend!

  8. Very nice post . . . I like a person who doesn't have to have everything ba aboutt themselves and instead, thinking of others.

Even so, and even if it is the Queen . . . You need a huge wish of HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! all for yourself!

  11. A Very Happy Birthday to you!! :) Enjoy the Jubilee..do you get it televised over there? I went to a Jubilee celebration yesterday, which was fun. The weather hasn't been the greatest, I am just hoping the sun will peak out for the Tuesday..cross fingers.
Where abouts in Canada did you live? I grew up in Alberta then lived in British Columbia for some time (before moving here to the UK). It is very true you do pick up the countries culture when you move there.
    Have a great weekend!
