Felted Hearts From My Sister

Look what my baby sister  just sent me!
Valentines!
Two little felted wool hearts with tiny glass seed beads sewn all around the edges.
The beads really sparkle in the light.    Aren't they pretty?
I love them!

  2. They're very pretty! I've always wanted to try felting wool. I've heard it's cheapest to go to a thrift store and buy wool clothes there instead of buying the fabric by the yard. Love the beading on them!

  4. They are adorable! And represent a lot of work, too... lovely.
I also like the milk glass compote they are in -- my Mom had one like it, with a lid.

My little sister only gives me grief. Only kidding!

  9. Thank you for visiting today. I had a hard time deciding whether or not to use the pieces of my grandmother's glassware. In the end my decision was based on Grandma's own example. She always said that special dishes were to be used for special people and that you couldn't get more special than family. They aren't pieces that I use every day...but I do enjoy using them for special folks. Want to come by when I have those chicken salad sandwiches on the sandwich platter? :)

  13. How wonderful it must be to have a sister! And a creative one to boot! The beads in my post that you asked about actually aren't beads at all but light pink glass glitter!

  17. Thanks for visiting. I too, love old linens. My Grandmother taught me how to do embroidery and I used to love to embroider kitchen towels. You have some beautiful pieces that you showcased on your blog. Thanks for sharing! Love & blessings from NC!
