Yesterday I drove to Greenwood, a little town that has several antique/vintage shops
as well as a pretty tea room. (With delicious food, I should add.)
Some cute little bits and pieces did come home with me.
But the best part of the day was getting to meet a blogging friend:
Twyla, from Two Crazy Crafters!!
Twyla, you are such a sweetheart.
Thank you for the soft slippers, inspirational book and tea towel and other goodies!
How glad I was to have this opportunity to meet you in real life!
Let's get together again soon!
Oh, a tea room and visiting with Twyla, that was a fun day.
ReplyDeleteShe picked out a lovely location to meet! I was so happy I got to meet her.
DeleteCozy slippers! Sounds like you had a fun day:@)
ReplyDeleteSuper cozy, and just like the ones my Mama used to make.
DeleteYou bought home some great treasures. It is so much fun to meet a blogging friend in person. I am so glad y'all had a great time. Your slippers look so warm and yummy.

Donna, I know you just had a wonderful experience meeting a blog friend, too. We need to encourage more people to do it.
Deletecute cozy slippers and love the color.
ReplyDeleteThey are the most wonderfully comfortable slippers!!
DeleteYou met Twyla? Oh, how wonderful! She is definitely someone I would love to meet some day. She was one of my very first followers and we have stayed friends all these years. I love your sweet gifts...she makes the best warm slippers. Love your fun finds, too. Have a good evening my friend!
ReplyDeleteYes, I did, and I'm still pinching myself to see if I'm dreaming.
DeleteLove those molds, Gayle! And I am glad you had the opportunity to meeting a blogging friend!
ReplyDeleteI have met three blog friends, now, and they have each been so wonderfully sweet. You know that if I'm ever in WV I'm coming to see you, too!!
DeleteA meet up, what fun! I saw some little jello molds out thrifting last week, too.(yet a silly price kept me from bringing them home)
ReplyDeleteWe found a wide range of prices on similar items. Vintage booth owners take note-- People will not pay outlandish prices for your things if the booth next door has them marked much lower.
DeleteYou got to meet, TWYLA!! AWESOME!! I bet it was a great time! What FUN
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
deb
She is awesome! Just as nice as can be! You two will have to make plans to meet in the middle someday!
DeleteWow! I blog with her too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that both of you had an
enjoyable day. Don't you just love Greenwood!
You have some great goodies too,
M :)

ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
Linda
Linda, I am good at sharing. It's either that, or we have a wrestling match to see who goes home with the things we both want. ;-)
DeleteWhat fun...a day of treasures and friends. I love love those slippers...I just got a pair very similar at a vintage market this past weekend...I remember the days I use to laugh when my mom wanted slippers like that...now I can truly say I am turning into my MOM and my MOM was very wise..my feet have never been so toasty. xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteKoralee, my mom used to knit slippers exactly like these blue ones that Twyla made. They really are comfortable and warm. You are right... moms know best! :-)
DeleteWhat a fun day and love your sweet treasures!! Twyla is such a sweet friend and I am wearing a pair of her slippers now! They are the best!! xo Heather

ReplyDeleteYes, they are very warm and comfy. It was so sweet of her to make those for me.
DeleteI love meeting fellow blogges and I adore Greenwood -- the antique mall and the tea room. And I always bring treasures home from there!
ReplyDeleteThe tearoom in Greenwood really did make for a nice place to meet a blogging friend for the first time. It might be fun to arrange for a KS and MO bloggers meet-up, someday. ( Greenwood, or somewhere else similar to that. )
DeleteWhat fun goodies! It's always fun to meet other bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it get's any better than antiques, tea rooms, and friends. Your loot is wonderful! So happy you met Twyla in real life!

It's as if we were friends forever. I see that you two did not have any problems carrying a conversation. Ha! Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteTammy, I have met three blog friends now (Tami, Martha and Twyla), and each one has been just as wonderful as I imagined they would be. :-)
